Questions & answers
A few things to know as you consider your recovery.
01What is Aruwkah?
Aruwkah provides individualized private postoperative nursing support, with a focus on plastic, cosmetic, and reconstructive surgery recovery. Founder Margie Lindsay, RN, brings 14 years of nursing experience, including perioperative care, surgical recovery, and nursing leadership.
02Does Aruwkah replace my surgeon or medical team?
No. Your surgeon and treating clinicians remain responsible for your medical plan and instructions. Aruwkah’s nursing support follows the applicable surgeon-approved recovery plan and prescribed instructions. Communication with your surgical team takes place where authorized and appropriate.
03What can nursing support include?
Depending on your needs, prescribed instructions, and applicable nursing scope, support may include postoperative assessments, vital-sign monitoring, wound and drain care, prescribed medication administration, pain assessment, mobility assistance, and private overnight care. Not every service is suitable or available for every client; the scope is agreed before care begins.
04When should I contact Aruwkah?
If possible, get in touch before surgery so there is time to discuss your needs and arrangements. Your recovery location, timing, and care needs must be reviewed, and availability confirmed directly. An inquiry does not reserve care.
05What information should I have ready?
For your first email or voicemail, your name and a way to reach you are enough. Margie can explain the next steps and how to share any information needed to discuss care. Please do not send procedure details, medical histories, photographs, or records by ordinary email.
06Can I submit medical records through the website?
No. This website does not collect medical information or provide a patient portal. Email is for general contact only. Ask Margie how to share any health information needed for the next step.
07How much does care cost?
Pricing depends on the support being considered. Discuss the scope, timing, and costs directly with Aruwkah before deciding whether to proceed. Contacting Aruwkah does not confirm a reservation or acceptance of care.
08Is Aruwkah an emergency service?
No. Do not use email or voicemail for urgent medical concerns. Contact your treating clinician for medical guidance; in an emergency, call emergency services.
